Le Vampir Glorieux: Bizarre Vintage Paintings of Vamprires by Boleslaw Biegas

The Third Vampire Metamorphosis, 1916 – 1917

The surrealist Polish artist Boleslaw Biegas produced a wealth of works in both painting and sculpture.

The thing that really piqued my interest, though, was his series of incredibly strange paintings with vampire themes. Insect vampires, flying camel vampires, elephant vampires, and so on are just a few of the bizarre vampire interpretations that Biegas carried through from the classic humanoid bat-like vampires.
